Small groups and fellowship opportunities
Hiking club
The Brunswick United Methodist Hiking Club is a fellowship group for hikers of all ages. We offer hikes of varying difficulty to meet the interests and abilities of all hikers. Through our outings we grow closer to God by enveloping ourselves in creation. Join us for an upcoming activity!
General Hike Procedures
Unless otherwise noted, we will meet at the trailhead. If you would like to attend an event and need a ride, please contact Chris Chidsey to arrange car pooling.
Sign-up
Please RSVP for each event you plan on attending. You can sign the sheet located at the Welcome Center, or contact Chris Chidsey via e-mail or phone. We will watch for all those signed up at the trailhead before we begin. If you decide at the last minute to attend and you didn't sign up, please come anyway! We welcome you!
Bad Weather
If there are storms threatening, the hike will be canceled.
If the weather is questionable otherwise, please decide on your own. If you have signed up and decide you will stay home, please call, e-mail, or text Chris Chidsey. If enough people decide the weather is too bad, the hike will be canceled and all the remaining hikers on the list will be called.

RFM ("Room for more")
“Room For More” is a monthly fellowship group that always has "room for more" to come, relax, and enjoy a monthly social activity or outing together. A baseball game in Akron, a play in Cleveland, a Christmas production in Medina and a potluck picnic are among the activities recently organized by RFM. Many activities have no charge, others involve a small fee. For more information, please contact the Church Office.

membership class
Would you like to learn more about the Brunswick United Methodist Church? Then a Membership Class is what you are looking for. A Membership Class usually consists of 1 to 2 sessions covering the history of our church, our denominational doctrines and the opportunity to call the Brunswick United Methodist Church your church home. The Membership Class is pastor-led and offered at various times throughout the year. Please contact the church office for more information.

Music
Chancel Choir
The mission of the Chancel Choir is to enhance the worship service through music by singing and giving glory to God. Under the direction of Choir Director, Chris Chidsey, this well-established, fun-loving adult group meets weekly to sing and expand its large repertoire of Christian music, from traditional favorites to upbeat contemporary songs. The group also sings at special services and for special events. The choir sings an anthem, introit and closing response weekly in fall, winter and spring, and helps lead the congregation in song from the chancel area during the 10:00 AM worship service.
All-Church Band
The All-Church Band plays seasonally. If you play or used to play an instrument and can still read music, you are welcome to join! Current All-Church Band participants range in age from middle school to retirement and beyond. For more information, please contact the Church Office.
Bell Choir
The Bell Choir performs hand bell music in worship several times a year. New members are welcome to join. (It's much easier than it looks...)
