
McCurdy School is providing a quality education with a Christian emphasis for over 300 students. Their student body is diverse in many ways (80% Hispanic, 8% Tewa-speaking Native American, 12% Anglo). Many of their students deal with huge issues of family addiction, grief and loss.
Rio Arriba County (New Mexico) has the highest death rate per capita in the U.S. for drug overdoses (mostly heroin). In addition, casino gambling and gang activity are major factors here.
